I attend the calls, papers and files,
Jot down the notes with all the smiles;
I am a receptionist: polite and kind
I carry out my duties with a happy mind!
A stranger walks in and I do still smile,
I am ever ready to move that short mile!
A welcome that is truly heart warming
A moment that’s pleasant and charming!
I smile at every person that walks in
Greeting each one with a slight grin!
It is effortless as if I’m a seasoned actor
It’s priceless with no cost factor!
I smile; I’m accustomed to do so
It helps me and I let the moment go!
It helps me for it is business as usual
And it means more: no denial, no refusal!
“May I help you? What can I do for you?
Please be seated!” Words are just a few!
It’s the workplace attitude that matters a lot,
“Thank you” is the moral hike I have always got!
