Coronavirus and I

My fate is crushed with your rise,
My school has closed to my surprise!
No teacher, no swing, no slide;
Each space is wide, each normal set aside!

Against the wall is hung my bag
Scattered are the books on the rag;
My new dress is in my mom's care
My shoes too are lying bare!

Nursery rhymes no longer thrill
All day long, my fate is at home still!
No more ice-cream, no town for me,
No going out; fewer friends to see!

Back home and jobless is my dad,
Times are bad and mom is feeling very sad!
I'm exiled from both of them by a gap,
I am banned from my grandma's lap!

Amidst the silence is a beam of hope
As, with the gracious kidu, we shall cope;
My country has a kindest King to care for all
Corona virus shall fall and we shall rise bold and tall!
